Ordering a toolbox online requires some additional action to be taken in order for your item to arrive quickly and in perfect condition. We highly recommend reviewing all these guides. They cover everything you need to know about buying toolboxes online and receiving your freight shipments.

If you have questions about how your order will be shipping, check out our General Shipping Policy.

Ordering Your Toolbox

After you place your order, the confirmation page on your web browser will display your order number at the top.

You will receive a detailed receipt in your inbox shortly after placing your order online. Please review this email, and be sure to check if your shipping address is correct. If you did not receive your email, please contact us at: info@vipertoolstorage.com.

You will typically receive your Shipping Notification Email within 1 – 3 business days after we complete your order.

*During holidays, lead times may vary.

Generally, we send this email on the next business day after the shipping company picks up your order.. It will contain relevant information regarding your shipment such as the shipping company, phone number, and tracking number.

Note: Most of our freight orders ship out via Estes, and we must adhere to Estes shipping policies.

Preparing For Your Delivery

To make the inspection process go as smoothly as possible, please have the tools listed below available as soon as the carrier reaches the delivery point:

  • BOX CUTTER
  • WORK GLOVES
  • CAMERA or SMARTPHONE CAMERA
  • ASSISTANT (RECOMMENDED)

Before making a residential delivery or pickup, the freight carrier will call the consignee (you) to confirm the delivery time window. This makes it vital to have the correct contact name and phone number on the BOL (Bill of Lading).

While we do look up the shipping address when scheduling the pick-up, customers should inform the freight company about any specific delivery instructions such as gated communities, limited access areas, or apartment complexes with specific delivery protocols.

Freight delivery drivers operate on a schedule and therefore are not obligated to bring shipments inside.

For commercial deliveries, customers should coordinate with their facility management or designated receiving personnel to ensure seamless acceptance of the shipment and to provide any necessary access or loading dock information.

Receiving Your Shipment

Upon arrival, you must thoroughly inspect the exterior packaging for any signs of damage or mishandling during transit.

If you observe any damage to the exterior packaging, they must document it by taking photographs before opening the packaging.

You should note any observed damages on the delivery receipt provided by the freight company’s driver. This documentation will be crucial for any potential claims or recourse.

Upon noticing any damages or discrepancies during the shipment delivery process, it is imperative that you immediately notify us. We will then guide you through the next steps for resolution.

Damaged Package Procedure

In the event of damaged packaging, you must contact us within 24 hours of delivery. We recommend by email at info@vipertoolstorage.com. This will be the best way to send us photos of the damage.

You should provide the documented evidence of the damaged packaging, including photographs and any relevant delivery receipts.

We will file a claim with the freight company and then arrange for sending out a replacement shipment.

  • We advise you not to sign the delivery receipt until you have thoroughly inspected the shipment for any damages.
  • You must retain all packaging materials until completing the inspection process and resolving any claims to ensure their importance.
